Leaving water bottles in a car can be a fire hazard
A battery technician from Idaho, USA, Dioni Amuchastegui has shared a video warning about the danger of leaving a clear bottle of drinking water in a car on a hot day because a fire can start from it.
The bottle filled with liquid is, in effect, acting like a magnifying glass. It causes light rays to converge. When light rays strike a surface, they cause the surface to heat up. The concentration of strong light can cause a surface to reach incredibly high temperatures, resulting in a fire.
